A heavenly God-sent gift

Her smile was bright and full of life
Until you came around
You had her till that point of time
When she found out

All your lies and unkept promises that
Caged her feelings and numbed her thoughts
You told her you loved her, pretended to care
You'd been playing her all along

I'll lift her up her feet again
Protect her from your reach
And from that moment on I'll know
She's scratched you off her list

You knew all she saw was you
And that she'd really do
Literally anything
If you would see her too

You'll look at her with puppy dog eyes
Then talk using lines that you memorised
She'll wait for a while before giving in
